Yorglass Celebrates April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day with Creative Generations Event

“Creative Fingers” Took the Stage: Where Artificial Intelligence Meets Imagination

For over half a century, Yorglass has been producing with a vision of shaping a better future. This April 23, the company celebrated National Sovereignty and Children’s Day with its traditional “Creative Fingers Contest” and colorful festivities, held exclusively for employees’ children. This year, the competition embraced the theme of artificial intelligence, encouraging imagination through painting and essay writing. Hosted simultaneously across five locations, the contest brought together children from different age groups, with winning works rewarded with surprise gifts. Alongside the competition, workshops, exhibitions, entertainment, and family-friendly activities highlighted Yorglass’s corporate culture—one that strengthens intergenerational bonds while prioritizing creativity and family values.

Inspiring imagination through AI-themed art and writing

As a trusted global supplier in the glass industry for 50 years, Yorglass once again transformed children’s dreams into a colorful journey with its “Creative Fingers Contest.” Now a tradition embedded in company culture, the contest engaged children of nearly 1,200 field and office employees working across seven plants in five locations. Reflecting one of the most discussed topics of our time, this year’s theme was “Artificial Intelligence.” With tailored categories for each age group, children expressed their creativity through both art and composition.

Bringing children’s ideas to life

    • Preschool to 2nd grade: Illustrated their visions under the theme “If My Toys Came to Life.”
    • 3rd to 5th grade: Explored the concept of “My Dream AI Inventor.”
    • 6th to 8th grade: Reflected on the question “Can Artificial Intelligence Save the World?” through paintings.
    • High school students: Shared their perspectives with essays titled “Tomorrow’s Problem, My Solution.”

A jury composed of the Human Resources team selected the winning entries, which were awarded with surprise gifts and proudly exhibited for employees and their families to enjoy. Simultaneous April 23 celebrations across all Yorglass locations featured creative workshops, engaging activities, entertainment zones, children’s treats, and an award ceremony, ensuring a memorable holiday for both children and their families.

“We will continue to share in children’s dreams”

Highlighting the company’s commitment to strengthening family bonds and inspiring future generations, Ayşe Doğruöz, Yorglass Human Resources Director, stated:

“Through this event, we not only created a platform for children to express themselves but also reaffirmed our commitment to supporting our employees’ families, strengthening intergenerational ties, and nurturing creative thinking as part of our corporate vision. At the same time, we support our children’s skills in creativity, production, and collaboration, while underlining the sustainability of our corporate social responsibility approach.

Guided by our motto ‘A Better Future is Possible,’ we will continue to share the dreams of our children.”
